Merlon International, an oil and gas E & P company, is actively exploring for oil and gas in the Western Desert of Egypt and the Gulf Coast of Texas. This company formerly operated in parallel with its sister company, Merlon Petroleum, with operations in the Nile Delta region of Egypt and Lake Houston area in Texas. The sale of Merlon Petroleum to Melrose Resources was completed in July 2006 and Merlon International, with its original staff, has continued its operations in both Egypt and Texas.

Currently, the company is drilling its first well on a new 700 square mile proprietary 3D seismic acquisition in the El Fayum Concession. This concession is comprised of 1.1 million gross acres and is located in the Western Desert about one hour west of Cairo, Egypt. The company is also actively involved in a large seismic/lease acquisition on the Texas gulf coast on which drilling should commence in 3Q 2008.

The company has fully staffed exploration and operations offices in Houston, Texas and Cairo, Egypt with the company’s headquarters located in Houston. The core management team has an extensive record of success both in the U.S. and abroad with over a 140 years of combined experience in the oil and gas industry.
